Mobile device functionality convergence in digital phones is progressing rapidly, with two notable examples in the latest Internet-enabled units from Sprint PCS. The Sprint PCS TP3000 ($400 street plus monthly service fee) is a single-band mobile phone/PDA combination that includes a Microsoft Outlook- compatible PIM. You can carry your favorite sound tracks in the dual-band Sprint PCS Phone Samsung Uproar ($400 street plus monthly service fee), a mobile phone with an integrated MP3 player.

One phone size doesn't fit everyone, but depending on the types of files you use, one of these new models may be just right for you.
